Everyday people decide to go to a gym and start a workout routine to try to lose weight and get in shape. Some succeed but more fail. Why do people fail at this? Is it because it is too hard? Is it because they run out of time? Or is it that they don’t know what they are doing there?
The answer is yes to all of the above. There are many more reasons that people fail. Like getting injured, losing desire, or just not enjoying it.
So to help prevent you from failing at your new exercise routine here are some very simple exercises that are fun to do, can be done at home (in privacy), and will limit your risk of injury.
1. Walk
Everyone had heard that walking is good for your health but many people don’t walk. Walking increases your heart rate and breathing rate which improves your heart and lung function.
2. Push-ups
Push-ups are a great upper body exercise because it incorporates the muscles of the arms, chest and back. It also causes you to tighten and tone the muscles of your mid-section (core). Make sure to use proper form and take your time during the exercise.
3. Body weight squats
This exercise is very simple and easy to perform. It strengthens the muscles of the legs, as well as the muscles of the core. I prefer the method where a chair is used to determine how far you squat down and it also helps prevent injury.
Now you have a few simple exercises that will work on almost every major muscle in your body with out going crazy and spending hours in a gym. Just make sure to discuss any new exercise program you start with your doctor first.

September 9, 2016Nice tips! I know some friends that can’t do heavy exercises or lift weights ’cause of hernia. So they just do simple exercises.
