Weight Loss Made Easy

Many Americans are struggling with their weight. In fact over 60% of adults are considered overweight or obese.

There are thousands of weight loss and diet books out there, the government is advertising to eat right and exercise more, and there are even laws in some areas against fatty foods. So why is it such a problem and what can you do about it?

The biggest problem is that we are told the wrong information. So here is the solution. You need to limit your amount of carbohydrates and sugar consumed each day. Not fats. It is that simple. A healthy amount of carbohydrates each day varies from person to person but is usually between 35 and 100 grams per day. The average American eats over 400 grams per day. The RDA (recommended daily allowance) of carbohydrates is 330 grams. This amount of carbohydrates is the reason that we continue to gain weight (even when we reduce our fat intake), have diabetes, have heart disease, have strokes, and have cancer.

Everyone asks the same question, “What about fiber? I was told that I should eat whole wheat for the fiber.” Well if you consume green leafy vegetables in place of the whole wheat and get the same number of calories you will have 11 times the amount of fiber. That is 11 times the cholesterol lowering power. 11 times the heart disease lowering power. 11 times the cancer preventing power.

The easiest way to lose weight is to stop eating all grains, pastas, rices, oats, and cereals. Stop drinking soda and alcohol. Stop consuming dairy. Limit fruit to locally grown and seasonal. Increase your sources of good healthy proteins and fats. Cook with butter and/or olive oil. Eat 3-5 times per day with breakfast everyday.
