Delay in proper treatment can cause Chronic PAIN!

The National Institute for Health states that more than 8 out of 10 Americans will experience a bout of low back pain bad enough to seek medical/chiropractic treatment for it at some point in their lives. What does this mean? This means that if you have back pain you are

not alone. There are literally millions of Americans just like you. So what are you going to do?

Recent research suggests that Chiropractic care is the most effective treatment for back pain, both acute and chronic.

According to a 2008 study by Globe, Morris, Whalen, Farabaugh, and Hawk on low back pain disorders reported, “Most acute pain, typically the result of injury (micro- or macrotrauma), responds to a short course of conservative treatment [chiropractic care]. If effectively treated at this stage, patients often recover with full resolution of pain…Delayed or inadequate early clinical management may result in increased risk of chronicity and disability” (p. 654).

This means that the sooner you start care after experiencing back pain from any cause, the greater your chance of recovering fully. It also means that if you delay care (some research suggests that this delay could be as little as 3 days) that you increase your risk of developing chronic pain.
